Variety of catch in calm seas
The Gröberner Lake, once a flooded open-pit mining lake and now part of the Central German Lake District, is an attractive fishing spot in a quiet, natural environment. With a valid fishing permit, the lake is freely accessible and offers a variety of fish species such as perch, tench, carp, and catfish, as well as bream, roach, rudd, chub, and other minor species – ideal for relaxed fishing days by the water.
Anglers at Lake Gröberner should pay attention to a few conditions to ensure that their fishing experience is a complete success:
At the Gröbern Lake and Forest Resort, rowing boats and a fishing raft are available for rent; private rowing or electric motor boats can be launched for a slip fee by prior arrangement. You can obtain a fishing permit (daily, weekend, or weekly) on-site with a valid fishing license. You can have your catch smoked at the lake cottage – our fisherman Markus will take care of processing and smoking for €15.00 per kilo; collection is possible after approximately 24 hours.
For more information about fishing at Gröberner See and fishing permits for 1, 3, or 5 days, as well as annual permits and combination permits for Gröberner and Gremminer See, you can get them at the reception of the Gröbern Lake and Forest Resort.
